The University of Miami Program in American Studies welcomes students from any of our United Kingdom partners pursuing undergraduate degrees in American Studies. The exchange students come to UM during their junior year and take a variety of courses, both within the American Studies Program as well as in other departments and programs that help them advance their studies of American history, culture, and society. International students have access to all the resources the University has to offer, and also gain exposure to top American Studies faculty. Students have the opportunity to begin research on their thesis projects by taking advantage of the wide variety of sources available in American Studies at the University’s Otto G. Richter Library and other local archival repositories.
